Somatic Experiencing™

Somatic Experiencing™ is a therapeutic approach created by
Peter A. Levine Phd, who recognised that whilst other animals can “shake off”
traumatic stress, we humans sometimes can’t!

At Athrú Somatic Therapy and Mindfulness, I support clients to work through patterns left behind by trauma. This allows the client’s system to relearn how to deal with stressors and triggers, and return to the stream of life.

At Athrú Somatic Therapy and Mindfulness, I support people of all ages in Mindfulness and Self Compassion practices. 

In adult classes I support self reflection, discussion, informal and formal mindfulness practices, self compassion, kindness and gratitude practices.

These themes are also explored with children and young people through age appropriate creative activities in our Creative Mindfulness for Kids classes.
